Imagine. Floating in space. Being crushed on the Earth.
In 1961, Yuri Gagarin would become the first cosmonaut in outer space.
Orbiting Earth, home, uncertain of a safe return, alone. 108 minutes, floating, drifting, spinning, weightless. His world sliding through a window, a portal, a new dimension of space, borderless, infinite stars, radiant colours, ecstasy.
An unfathomable combination of vulnerability, awe, and wonder.
A slow dance.
Street light, epoxy resin hat, galvanized steel tubing, perlite and cement blocks, glazed ceramic bucket, plastic carry case and globe section.
